How to get there: From Kloofnek road turn to your left into Tafelberg street and park at the Kloofnek parking area immediately on your left after your turn into Tafelberg road Start of the route: At the Kloofnek parking area. At 2,7 km there is the first split, the left trail (Diagonal) climbs up the mountain, the left continues on the Pipe track. Parking at Kloof Nek parking, Tafelberg Rd, Table Mountain (Nature Reserve), Cape Town. Easy hike up until Diagonal Route where there is some exposure and that one (1) kilometer to the cave was quite steep for us that were not that fit. It’s a popular route for walkers and hikers, but runners will revel in the relatively flat and untechnical terrain. * The Pipe Track and its radiating ascents. Many of these trails are not beginner-friendly, and they are not open to dogs. The track hugs the mountain for about 6 km to Corridor Ravine, but you can turn around at any point. The Pipe Track, originally a service path for maintaining pipes leading from the high reservoirs, is a beautiful stroll in itself, and also serves to link the paths leading up to the Twelve Apostles ridge.
